The Leadership Conference of Women Religious is pleased to announce that Pat Farrell, OSF will be the recipient of the 2013 LCWR Outstanding Leadership Award. This prestigious award honors a person whom the LCWR members wish to recognize and thank for modeling extraordinary leadership.
Pat, a Sister of St. Francis of Dubuque, has a long history of unwavering commitment to serving persons who are poor or marginalized. This service includes two decades in Latin America where she accompanied people in settings of intense violence in Chile and El Salvador. These life experiences, her clear dedication to Gospel values, and her deeply contemplative spirit are among the many gifts Pat has brought to the LCWR presidency as she helps lead the conference through an exceptionally challenging time.
LCWR will present the award to Pat on August 16 at its annual assembly.
