Sandra Schneiders, IHM will be the recipient of the 2012 LCWR Outstanding Leadership Award. This prestigious award honors a person whom the LCWR members wish to recognize and thank for modeling extraordinary leadership.
Sandra is a Sister, Servant of the Immaculate Heart of Mary of Monroe, Michigan and serves as a professor emerita of scripture and spirituality at the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, California. She holds a doctorate degree in sacred theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. Her extensive writing on religious life has enabled religious and others to reach new understandings of the life and engage in questions around the vows, ministry, prayer, and community with great depth. Sandra's scholarship has been shared with others through the publication of several books and numerous articles, and in presentations and lectures that have taken her around the world.
Sandra will receive the Outstanding Leadership Award at LCWR's August national assembly.
