Accelerated Grace

As I reflect on the times in which we find ourselves, I’ve noticed how often people speak about how much there is to do, how quickly time moves, how fast changes occur, and how different these times are from times not too long ago. Intrigued by this, I began to ponder what might be under these experiences that so many people seem to be naming. Surprisingly, I found myself inquiring about speed, pace, velocity, and acceleration. The science of physics eluded me in my earlier years and it has only further distanced itself from me in my later years.
However, my lived experience of daily life, calendar challenges, clock sprints, and countless other realities provided an opportunity to rethink the physics of the soul. Perhaps we are experiencing a time in which a contemplative approach to the physics of the soul invites a deeper awareness of the Mystery of Oneness. And the seasons of Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, and Ordinary Time might just be the foundation for such a deeper look. (To continue reading, download the PDF file below)
