The focus of the Summer 2024 issue is Courageous Acts of Prophetic Love. The challenges we face as a global community and as a nation in this period of turmoil, combined with the major shifts occurring today within religious life, require that we live with courage.
Writers for this issue of Occasional Papers will explore the call to raise courageous questions, speak truth, make hard decisions, live and lead from a stance of vulnerability, be a courageous listener, and know the soul of one's sisters so that we can be sources of prophetic love – for the world, the church, our religious institutes, and one another.
Interviews in this issue are with grief and loss expert David Kessler, author of several books including Finding Meaning: The Sixth Stage of Grief; Pádraig Ó Tuama, host of On Being’s “Poetry Unbound”; and Mohammed Mohammed, senior program officer at the Fetzer Institute and contributor to the Fetzer study, “What Does Spirituality Mean to Us?”
