The 2024 LCWR reflection book, The Vast Promise Before Us, explores the important role hope plays in religious life today and how we sustain and strengthen our hope amidst the challenges.
The focus on hope comes from the presidential address by Rebecca Ann Gemma, OP delivered at 2023 LCWR assembly. In her address, Rebecca Ann reminded us of the essential role hope plays in life, and especially at a time when the events of the world and even in religious life can cause anxiety and worry.
In this reflection book more than 40 leaders share their own experiences of nurturing hope today trusting that their insights will be a source of inspiration to women religious and other readers. Their reflections are accompanied by artwork as well as questions for the readers’ reflection and prayer.
The cost of each book is $6.00, plus shipping and handling. Discounted prices are available for orders larger than 10 copies. Revenue from this LCWR project helps defray the costs of the resources and programs the conference provides its members.
Deadline for placing an order is Friday, February 23. The books will be mailed in March.
